"Blogging- Never before have so many people with so little to say said so much to so few."
It is time that I add my voice to the unheard thousands on the blogosphere. however, I suppose if you've made it this far then you might actually want to hear what I have to say about my trip to Montevideo,Uruguay and my experiences studying Spanish and Latin American culture here in South America. At this point saying that I am about to have an adventure is an understatement, but as I write this in the Santiago airport I am looking at the Andes mountains so I guess the adventure has already gotten started. We will be arriving in Montevideo this afternoon after a lomg day ofntravel but i wanted to start off this trio by describing exactly what this blog is going to
be about.
1) Pictures. I am using two cameras on this trip and my friends and family have made it clear that my life is at risk if I do not post the pictures from my adventures.
2) Keeping everyone updated. My friends and family are spread out all over the country so this is my way of keeping them plugged in even though I may not be able to Facebook and tweet very much while I am gone.
3) Recording memories like this is an important way for me to make sure that I have taken the time to reflect on my time in S.A. Maybe after this adventure is over I will be able to look back on this blog and remember all the fun stuff I got to do.
4) Incentive to go on big adventures. I have no excuses if this blog is boring. I am in one of the most amazing places in the world and you are all going to know that I am wasting this opportunity if I don't blog about all the fun stuff I am getting to do here in South America.
Thanks for reading. Whether you are family, friend, or stranger, I am really excited to have you along on this adventure. Enjoy some fun pictures, funny stories, and hopefully one last adventure.
I'm gonna read all your stuff even if it's boring.
